Live From The Vaults is the new album by Kinetika Bloco; a sprawling 150-piece carnival expression of unique character and undeniable influence.
As Kinetika Bloco celebrates 25 years, Ruben Fox, son of Founder Mat Fox has delved into the vaults to look back and reflect on some of their classic themes and pieces. Themes such as Space is The Place: An Afro-Futuristic exploration of the work of Sun Ra & Duke Ellington, Roads to Freedom: A collection of protest music centered around the struggle for freedom in apartheid South Africa & Imagination Our Nation; A 5-year project which explored a diversity of music from Celtic folk to Detroit Funk.
This upcoming album features a collection of gems captured live over the years. The purpose of this collection is to bring light to this group’s work and enjoy some highlights of Kinetika Bloco’s recorded history.

Live From the Vaults is Kinetika Bloco’s second release, a special showcase of the Bloco’s various formations and lineups from 2004 – 2018. You’ll be able to hear gems lead by Matt Fox himself, the magic that came from his passion for carnival and community, and the continuation and growth of Kinetika Bloco after he passed.
